Organisational Structure
The Boards of BBIL and BBIS are together responsible for protecting the rights and interests of all investors and are accountable to investors for the overall governance and management of Babcock & Brown Infrastructure.
Babcock & Brown Infrastructure is a stapled security which comprises:
- Babcock & Brown Infrastructure Limited (ACN 100 364 234) (BBIL), an Australian public company (BBIL was formerly known as Prime Infrastructure Management Limited);
- Babcock & Brown Infrastructure Trust (BBIT), an Australian trust of which Babcock & Brown Investor Services Ltd is the responsible entity (BBIT was formerly known as the Prime Infrastructure Trust); and
- the respective wholly-owned entities of each of BBIL and BBIT.
Each BBIL share is stapled to a BBIT unit. The stapled security is quoted on the ASX under the market code "BBI". (Prior to 1 July 2005, when BBI was known as Prime Infrastructure stapled securities were quoted on the ASX under the market code "PIF").
